"The Eco-museum is: a territory, population, wealth ' (Hugues de Varine)

Territory, population and wealth are the three key elements for the definition of an eco-museum.

Shareholders means all buildings, artifacts, works (material culture) and knowledge, traditions, stories, crafts (non-material culture) is the identity of a region and its communities.
Ecomuseum aims to enhance them.

The Lombardy Region, through the Regional Law 13 of 2007 promotes the establishment, recognition and development of Ecomuseums in its territory order to rebuild, to witness, to accompany them in their development and enhance the historical memory, local life, the tangible and intangible culture and the landscape.
